Shell Creek Family,
Greetings from Shell Creek Elementary! As I reflect upon a fast 2016-2017 school year, I continue to comeback to the fact that we are blessed with a great staff and a great group of students! No school is perfect and we all have plenty to improve on, but I feel confident in stating that Shell Creek is an excellent school!
April and May were filled with many exciting events at Shell Creek including the PTO Book Fair & Movie Night, Donuts With Dad (285 served that morning!), and various outstanding lessons brought forth by staff. We were also host to several guest presenters including community members and 4-H extension officers. We appreciate the great community support that accompanies the curriculum.

If you haven’t done so, please consider following the happenings at school via Twitter. We can be followed @SCElemSchool. Many staff members use Twitter to help promote the many great things they are doing in the classroom.

Our ‘Viking Way’ cards are great tools to aid in reinforcing positive student behavior. As a reminder, the Lakeview Community Schools’ mission is that: We strive to build a strong academic foundation with educational opportunities that develop character and the mindset needed for all students to be successful members of their community.

Thank you for your continued efforts in teaching your students respect. It is a continual effort from our staff as well. We are working to help students fully understand the importance of respecting themselves, others, and the school.

“It’s not so much the journey that’s important; as is the way that we treat those we encounter and those around us, along the way.” – Jeremy Aldana

As always, my door is always open for comments, questions, or concerns.
Josh Graves
